Loved it！My kiddo loves books about construction sites and all the jobs so this book was perfect。 It wasn’t too long or too short and the rhythm and rhyme was pleasant and easy to read for a mom trying to get her kiddo to bed - the ending was perfect for this FYI。

My toddler girl loves some of the books in this series （some are “ehh” in our opinion） and was captivated by this book after just one read。 There’s a lot of detail—too much for a child under 2 maybe—but the book still reads well。 It’s a helpful touch that the book starts and ends with the trucks in their designated “beds” from “Goodnight， Goodnight， Construction Site，” and that the job they complete in the story is a structure represented in other books from the series。

Elliot LOVES “Goodnight， Goodnight， Construction Site”， so I was excited about this follow-up。 The five original construction trucks call for back-up when they have an enormous new job， so five new trucks help out。 It’s fun with the same rhyming creativity as the original， but it’s considerably longer， which was tough for Elliot。 We got through it a few times， but mostly stopped halfway。 It’ll be better to revisit once he’s a bit older

If you haven’t already been forced by your toddlers to read and re-read MIGHTY， MIGHTY CONSTRUCTION SITE or its predecessor a gazillion times， you may or may not want to introduce them to this delightful duology by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Tom Lichtenheld。 Your children are pretty much guaranteed to love them， but as I mentioned， YOU might come to be tormented by constant repetition。 As for the merits of this particular book？ Tinker’s text is perfectly balanced page to page for a toddler’s atten If you haven’t already been forced by your toddlers to read and re-read MIGHTY， MIGHTY CONSTRUCTION SITE or its predecessor a gazillion times， you may or may not want to introduce them to this delightful duology by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Tom Lichtenheld。 Your children are pretty much guaranteed to love them， but as I mentioned， YOU might come to be tormented by constant repetition。 As for the merits of this particular book？ Tinker’s text is perfectly balanced page to page for a toddler’s attention span， and she rarely misses a beat in her rhyme。 But me？ I’m here for the art。 Lichtenheld’s illustrations are absolutely CENTRAL。 I seem to remember double-checking the medium and being so happy to have been right that he used wax-oil pastels。 I was forced to use them in college for at least one class， and they were an absolute *nightmare* to work with， although that could just be my general skill level。 When done correctly， pastels can produce some of the most gorgeous art due to their texture， blending， and intensity。 I went into college not knowing what pastels *were，* and by the time I graduated I could make you thoroughly sick of me simply by covering the basics of what soft pastel users and oil pastel users think of each other （one of the greatest rivalries of all of art history）。 In any case， my admiration for Lichtenheld went through the roof after I confirmed his choice of medium。[ I also reviewed this book on YouTube。 ] 。。。more

I bought this book to teach my granddaughter all of the equipment on construction sites where he Pappa and Daddy work。 It was fun and she had fun because she already knew some of them。 The illustrations are well done and accurate for construction sites， she really enjoyed this book。
